Grilled lettuce with parmesan and lemon
You can make this grilled lettuce side dish in under 10 minutes! Pair with anything else you can throw on the griddle pan for a tasty meal.
- 2 heads of romaine lettuce
- olive oil
- sea salt flakes
- 1 lemon
- parmesan cheese
Heat a griddle pan over a medium-high heat.
Cut the lettuce hearts in half lengthways.
Brush the lettuce halves with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
Grill for 3 minutes (cut side down), pressing down with your tongs to ensure the lettuce sears nicely. Flip and grill for another 1-2 minutes. Remove from grill.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil. Grate some lemon zest over each half and add a squeeze of lemon juice. Finish with grated parmesan. Enjoy!
